Kent Campfield

Kent Campfield has had the pleasure of working with children for over 40 years. Kent began his career with the YMCA directing camps, youth sports and afterschool programs at the Westside and Palisades-Malibu YMCA. He was the P.E. teacher at Marquez Charter Elementary School for over 10 years. Kent currently oversees Team Prime Time’s 24 Afterschool Program sites in both Los Angeles and Inglewood Unified School Districts. Kent’s passion is to advocate for youth development and for children to learn and grow while having fun at Prime Time Sports Camp.

Kaelyn Gsellman

Program Director

Kaelyn Gsellman

Kaelyn Gsellman has been with PTSC for 5 years working as the Program Director for our After School Programs and Camps. As a seasoned volleyball player with over 7 years of experience, Kaelyn brings her skills and knowledge to our students. Fun fact about Kaelyn is that she’s not the only athlete in her family, her brother is a professional baseball player! Talk about some serious athletes! Not only does she bring her athleticism to the program, but her degree in Sports Management and a minor in Marketing from Grand Canyon University as well. She has the knowledge and experience to manage our entire camp operation. Kaelyn’s 10 years of ASP and Camp experience truly elevate our programs–she’s the backbone of the company. When she’s not at Prime Time, you can find Kaelyn spending time with her 1-year-old daughter. Catch them traveling around Los Angeles, at the Zoo, or at a Ms. Rachel meet and greet!

Billy Dunwoody

Billy Dunwoody has been with both programs for over 8 years. Back in the day, Billy attended PTSC, took flight as a CIT, and then became a Summer Camp Coach. Nowadays, you’ll find Billy working as our Office Manager. He’s truly our foundation for it all–there’s no Prime Time without Billy! As you can tell, Billy wears many hats (even though he doesn’t in real life). He attended West LA College where he majored in Criminal Justice and works as an EMT. How does he do it all!? During his free time (if he has any), Billy loves to play golf or watch New York Jets games. Catch him on the course if he’s not in the office!

Coach Mahrisch

Coach Mahrisch

Mahrisch is the new Site Director at Short Avenue ES and has been with PTSC for 4 months. You can find her cracking jokes or playing with campers at Short Avenue this Summer as well! She played softball for 10 years and volleyball for 3 years, allowing us to have an extremely knowledgeable coach in both sports! Mahrisch attended Cal State Los Angeles where she majored in Child Development with a Youth Agency Administration Specialization. One thing you should know about her is that she’s a jack of all trades! You can find her at the gym, taking dance lessons, or traveling. She’s also a major Harry Potter fan and will spark any conversation with you about it!

Coach Mia has been with PTSC for 5 years and currently works at Short Avenue ES. You can find her at Emerson MS over the summer showcasing her soccer skills and cracking jokes! Mia has played soccer for over 19 years and even played Division III Soccer in college. With an MBA from LSU on top of her degree in Creative Writing and Business Administration from Hartwick, Mia’s a force to be reckoned with in the classroom and on the field. Her extensive knowledge of the game is a great addition to our team! One thing about Mia is that she loves being active, whether that’s going to the gym, the beach, or on hikes with friends. Try to catch her if you can!

Issak Traore is new to our Short Avenue After School Program. He’s become an amazing asset to our team with his 6 years of experience playing Football and Professional Basketball. Not only is he built like an athlete with his 7 foot wingspan, he’s got the brains too. Issak attended Delgado College in Louisiana where he majored in Kinesiology. What can’t he do!? Hopefully he can train your child to be the next QB1! Aside from his passion in teaching and playing sports, Issak loves being active outdoors– whether that includes going fishing or camping. Catch him throwing a line in the lake or throwing the ball with the kids!

Coach Nani

Nalani Higa, also nicknamed Nani, has been with PTSC for 3 years and she currently works at Short Ave ES for our After School Program. Nani has been tearing it up on the Culver City Basketball courts during Camp! Her athletic talents and education from Cal State Dominguez Hills have been a great asset to our team. Not only is she athletic but also incredibly creative! Nani has an eye for capturing cinematic shots during Movie Production. She’s turning the campers and students into movie stars! During her free time, Nani enjoys being active, hanging out with friends and family, or wind-downs on her own by painting, drawing, or reading. She truly does it all! Speaking of doing it all, she’s always on the move when it comes to traveling. Nani’s been to 8 states and hopes to make it to all 50!

Coach Carmen, our dynamic and bilingual Basketball and Pickleball coach, has been with us for 5 years! Carmen is a force to be reckoned with on the court – as she’s been dominating the game for the past 10 years! As a fluent Spanish speaker, she’s excited to bring some of her rich cultural heritage to our programs, and we can’t wait to see what she has in store. With a degree in Human Development from UC Davis, Carmen knows how to inspire and motivate our campers. When she’s not coaching, you can find her at your local Pickleball court or traveling around the world! Don’t worry, when she’s done traveling, you can find her at Short Avenue ES over the Summer.

Kristine is new to our Elysian Heights After School team. She is an incredibly ambitious individual as she has a Masters of Education and strives to run a marathon in every state! How cool would it be to say you know someone who ran a marathon in every state!? Outside of work, she loves to hike and swim–she’s quite an adventurous person!

Coach Marlene, our triple-threat staff member, has been with PTSC for 5 years and has worked for Prime Time After School for 3 years. You can find Marlene cheffing it up with the students, teaching them how to be the next Picasso, or broadening their language through Spanish Class. She truly does it all at Elysian Heights! This May, Marlene will graduate with a major of Communications in Media and Journalism. When she isn’t studying or working, Marline loves to go to Long Beach and spend time with her fiancé. Who doesn’t love walking along the beach?! A fun fact about Marlene is that Halloween is her favorite holiday. She loves expressing her creativity with her costumes and seeing her students do the same! I wonder what she has planned for next Halloween…

Coach Tarius, our Sport and STEM connoisseur, has been with PTSC for 5 years. He currently works at Elysian Heights ES for our After School Program and during the summer, you can find him shooting hoops with campers at Silverlake. Not only is he skilled on the court but in the classroom as well as he attended Arkansas State University and CSU Dominguez Hills where he majored in Sports Management. He’s a great addition to our team with his extensive basketball experience. Hopefully he’ll train the next generation of NBA All-Stars! When he’s not playing basketball, you’ll find Tarius at a concert, on a hike, or enjoying Japanese food. Speaking of Japanese food, Tarius grew up in Kanagawa, Japan–how cool! We’re so glad to have a dynamic Coach like Tarius!

Coach Nazarea has been working with PTSC and our After School Program at Elysian Heights for 4 years. For the past three years, Nazarea has put her skills to the test when teaching Science and Inventor’s lab. She’s turned Elysian into her own Science lab! Nazarea currently attends Pasadena City College where she’s majoring in Culinary and Entrepreneurship for Small Businesses. We’re hoping her cooking skills will transform our students into culinary prodigies, or even the next group of Gordon Ramseys! Fun fact about Nazarea is that she loves the holiday season, specifically Thanksgiving and Christmas. Who knows, maybe Nazarea will teach your child how to bake sweet peppermint treats or a turkey for the holidays!

Tyler is new to our Elysian Heights After School Team. He is an incredibly talented and athletic Coach who brings his musical expertise and sports knowledge to the program. Tyler’s 10 years of experience playing Football and Baseball have helped tremendously in teaching these Sports on site. You could say his knowledge is out of the park! Aside from sports, Tyler loves being creative when teaching Design Lab or writing music in his free time. We are enthusiastic to have Tyler a part of our team as he attended Kentucky State and majored in Sports Administration and Coaching. He’s bringing more than just his A-game to our program!

Coach Blake has been with PTSC for over 7 years and currently works for the After School Program at Westminster. Blake’s extensive experience of playing and coaching Soccer and Lacrosse have helped our Summer Camp thrive! You can find Blake sharing his passions for sports cards and soccer at Emerson MS during the Summer. Blake has a soft sport for Prime Time as he was a camper back in the day! With his infectious personality and knowledge of Prime Time, Blake has become one of our best leaders. He will make your summer unforgettable!

Coach Xavier has been with PTSC for over 6 years. You can find Xavier working for our After School Program at Westminster or at Emerson MS for Summer Camp! Xavier’s main sport is Soccer and has 4 years of experience in the game. You may see him battle it out on the field this Summer with Blake and Mia at Emerson! Xavier truly does it all–he attended Santa Monica College where he majored in theater. He can take his talent to the field or on the stage! In his free time, Xavier enjoys reading and learning how to speak Gaelic–sounds impressive, huh!

Coach Jack has been with PTSC for 4 years and currently works at Emerson MS for our Camps and After School Program. Jack’s lengthy experience of playing Lacrosse and Basketball, for 17 years might I add, allows him to be a great coach for our campers. Not only is he an athlete on the court, but he’s a chef in the kitchen. In his free time, Jack loves to cook or try new food and hangout with his friends. Ask Jack what he’s cheffing up in the kitchen for him and his friends! Maybe he can teach your child how to dunk or cook a mean meal!
